I'm not allowed to like Bob Ross or his happy trees. His work and teachings are based around copying basic schematic elements (happy tree, tiny little house in the distance) without actually observing those things for yourself to see if the happy tree always has the branch on the right side or whatever.

But I'd buy him a beer, because he seems like a laid back dude. There was some other guy running some drawing show, too. Pappy, I think. He was like the batshit hillbilly version of Bob Ross with a talking paintbrush.
