So despite a really rough start, November is turning out to be a kickass month.
My mom just got back from Mayo Clinic for her checkup with some extremely encouraging results. We were afraid that her arteries had clogged up again to the point where they might have to do more open heart surgery, but they checked her out and she's apparently doing better than they thought.
Slowly my morning sickness is starting to chill out. What this means instead of ten hours of nausea and fatigue a day, I only get five or six. I am trying to think positive and am hoping that in the next few weeks I'll actually be able to stay up past 9 pm without passing out at my keyboard.
My husband just got a kickass job that will allow us be financially comfortable while also being able to send my son to fancy preschool. This was especially nerve wracking because it's such a huge increase in income for us and will make life a lot easier. The company that hired him dithered around for like a month and a half with requisitions, background checks, drug screenings and credit checks before approving him finally for a job. In the end it's worth it because it actually has a bit of job stability, an awesome three day a week schedule, an actual retirement plan, cheaper insurance which that alone will gain us like $400 we don't have to pay a month (plus it starts up the first day he works so we don't have to pay for gap insurance coverage out of pocket). No longer will we be eating mac and cheese for the next year and a half, although that will probably matter more once I can actually eat something more interesting than chicken noodle soup and toast.
Two of my all time favorite TV Shows are coming back this month (Project Runway and Battlestar Galactica). It kinda sucks that this is going to be Battlestar Galactica's last year, but then I'd rather have a well thought out ending to the series that goes out on a high note than the crap ending of series that went on too long like Buffy or Angel.
All in all, not too shabby. It's about time life got a bit easier.
