Oh yeah. All the Revans with similar sounding names due to the name generator was kind of hilarious. They really needed to add like fifty or a hundred names to that list.

I personally didn't think it was hard to come up with a first name since it's an Earth based universe and you can use most common first names since Shepard isn't one of those weird sounding surnames that nothing goes with. On the other hand, Shepard has such a strong, hard-assed personality that naming him or her something romantic sounding or fluffy probably would feel weird. I haven't looked at much fanfic(which would probably be a good indicator), so I can't tell if this has been a problem or not.

There isn't a random name generator with this one. You either make up your own name or it defaults to John (I think) or Jane depending on the gender you choose.
