... or maybe I'm the one who sucks. Either way, it's official. I am never, ever, ever doing nanowrimo again.
For the last nanowrimo, I managed to churn out about 22,000 words (five chapters) for my fic Common Ground and they were all complete and utter crap. I was trying to write so quickly that everything I wrote is an amazing tangled mess and an incredible pain in the ass to make into any coherent sense. I'm pretty damn sure that in the long run, I would have gotten these chapters out a hell of a lot faster if I had just written at my normal pokey pace.
Making it even worse is that when it comes to the action scenes that I hate writing so much, I was a lazy bastard and left big chunks of things out with notes like: [insert big badass dogfight here] or [nag xenzen into writing this fight].
This is beyond annoying.
