I'm hungover...

... and I can't quite believe it. I think the last time I drank enough to get hungover was about four years ago.

For some reason, my husband decided that we needed to drink some wine last night. A glass led to the whole bottle, which led to another bottle, which led to us watching Battlestar Galactica drunk. That part was fun. Waking up to a hangover not so much.

So much for library story time and working out at the Y today.

*facepalm*

I guess we're just getting a head start for the weekend, when Tom and I are flying to a wedding in Washington DC. While I like the groom, the bride is ... ugh. It's going to be a highy swanky affair (the groom works for some DC big shots) and apparently there are a couple of Senators coming. I'm getting the feeling after talking to one of my friends (that is thankfully going to be there) that this is going to be more of a networking event than an actual wedding.

Good times. I think the only thing to do is to find the bar and stay there for the entire reception.

I really hope I'm not going to have to miss Battlestar Galactica this week. Unfortunately there is this schmoozy thing at a bar tonight that we've been invited to. If I had my way, I'd just stay in the hotel and watch tv, but I think Tom wants to go. So I'll have to download it with bittorrent probably and watch it when I get back.

One of my favorite memories of college is watching "Jesus Christ Superstar" drunk and acting out the roles a la Rocky Horror.

That's awesome. We often did stuff like that, as going to college in a small town in the middle of freaking nowhere, there weren't a lot of other alternatives. Still, it was so much fun.

I do plan on definitely getting drunk with the Republicans. Most of the people that I know are going are some of the most uptight people I've ever met (most of these people would qualify themselves as members of the "religious right"... blech). I think I freaked them out when we were in college (being the smoking, drinking scarlet woman, atheist philosophy major that I was), and I'm curious to see if that's still the case lol.
