An interesting discussion about Bastila.

I was in the kotorfanmedia IRC chat the other day, when another member Hobnob_Rev and I got into a really interesting discussion. We were arguing about whether Bastila owes Revan an apology for lying to Revan about her/his identity.

My post:

Here's my view: Bastila has absolutely nothing to be sorry about. For several reasons:

1. Telling Revan who s/he is really was would have been far too risky and dangerous, and Bastila was looking out the greater good (the safety of the Republic). She was put into the worst possible position and she and the Jedi Council made a judgment call.

2. Revan lost all rights to be angry about what was done to him/her when s/he started killing innocents. Revan deserved the mind wipe (which was the merciful thing to do) and has no reason to bitch about a situation that essentially s/he created by trying to conquer the galaxy.

3. Bastila gave Revan a second chance at Redemption. Since Revan owes Bastila *everything,* it is rather unfair for her/him to expect an apology for something she did as a military necessity.

So I'm curious to see what you all, as Bastila fans, think.
