So I have this Dragon Age fic that kind of just popped out but it needs another pair of eyes to look at it. It's an Alistair/Anora/Male!Grey Warden (Amell) almost romance, but kind of not. It's probably technically slightly AU. Looking for g/s/p feedback, character feedback (especially with Alistair - who I'm not sure I have in character), and pretty much anything else that might need work.

It's short - about 3000 words. If anyone is willing to take a look, let me know.

I've been quiet lately, and really it's because I've been spending my time writing some original fiction (to my shock, I actually have a rough draft of a first chapter to something that might actually turn into a full length story). I have to say that it's interesting having to come up with all characters that are entirely your own. One of the things that helps me shape my own characters is to think about my own favorite fictional characters and figure out why they entertain and appeal to me. I've decided to make a list as my own personal mental exercise and post it here.

I warn you, this is really, really long, and possibly of interest only to me, which is why it's under a cut. If you don't read it, I won't be offended. Honest.

I'm also interested in the favorite characters of the people on this list, because it's always interesting to see what appeals to other people. So tell me a handful of your favorite fictional characters (be sure to include where they're from unless it's obvious - remember I'm an old lady here) and absolutely most importantly why you like them and they appeal to you.

The new DCC Challenge is open for voting. Thank you so much everyone who submitted or gave suggestions on how to spice up and improve the contest. I really appreciate everyone's comments, help and submissions.

I, however, am a loser and did not manage to make my own challenge deadline. *facepalm* I tried no less that four different story ideas, none of which ever got off the ground. I finally hit on a good solid idea that I thought I could follow through with far too late to make the deadline.

I hate it when that happens. I can't tell if it was the mood I was in, or if the story ideas needed some work. Does that ever happen to any of you - where you think you've got a solid idea and then a few paragraphs or pages into it, you realize that it's just not working?

I don't think I've around recently due to the intense amount of fandom burnout that I've been feeling, but I thought I'd make a post updating on the status of my mom. She was taken into Mayo Clinic this week for open heart surgery (a valve replacement and bypass) and as of now she's doing great. The surgery went fine and now she's part bionic woman, which I keep telling her is pretty damn cool. So now her kidneys are fixed, her heart is fixed, so she just needs one more trip up here after this one to fix one of her blocked arteries.

I don't know if anyone is still interested in doing the Onderon roleplay, but if you are, I'll finally get off my lazy, unmotivated backside and post that post I'd been meaning to finish when I get back home from frozen hell Minnesota next tuesday. If people are no longer interested in playing as they've lost the desire to while I was dragging my feet I completely understand. And once again, I apologize for the delay. I was just so burned out on anything remotely fandom related that I just couldn't muster up the will power to finish it. However, I think that's actually getting better somewhat so if anyone still wants to play let me know, I'll post what I have when I get home.
